Hey there, lovely people!
It’s your favorite coach, here to spill some tea on everyone’s newest frenemy – AI. Now, as coaches, we’re all trying to decipher this thing called artificial intelligence, wondering how it fits into our space. Some of you might be clutching your pearls, worried that AI tools like chatGPT might snatch your job right from under you. But, here’s a scoop for you, just like that extra spoonful of sugar in your tea: understanding and embracing might just be the way forward.
The thing is, dear ones, fear often stems from the unknown. So, why not tackle it head-on? Here’s a wild thought for you: what if you started treating chatGPT (or any generative AI tool) as your trusty work BFF? Yep, you heard me right!
Here’s a page from my own playbook: Just yesterday, I was knee-deep in creating a nifty tool for coaches using chatGPT. My expertise? Crafting products. But, oh honey, when it comes to selling them, that’s where Auntie tends to stumble a bit. I can whip up products and list them faster than you can say “AI,” but after that, it’s a bit of a head-scratcher.
So, I thought, why not ask my AI sidekick? “Hey chatGPT, got any tips on how to announce a new product to my coach buddies via email?” And just like that, with a dash of AI magic, I had a draft! Sure, I tweaked it here and there, but it saved me the stress of starting from scratch.
And AI’s magic isn’t limited to business alone. With a full-time job, four munchkins at home waiting for their dinner, and my AI coaching gig, it’s safe to say my plate is full. Confession time: choosing what to cook for dinner feels like picking the right bingo number. So, I asked my AI friend for a quick recipe, factoring in the ingredients I had on hand. A couple of suggestions later, and voilà, dinner was served!
Did AI steal my job? No way! Did it replace my kitchen’s chef? Nope. But it sure made me a more efficient coach, and a faster cook and gave me some quality time with my kiddos.
Here’s the moral of our little story: If there’s something out there making you nervous, get to know it. Make it your partner-in-crime. Because, at the end of the day, AI might just be the trusty sidekick you never knew you needed.
